Recipe: Wild Hibiscus Margarita


Serves 1

INGREDIENTS:
∙ 2 oz Patron Silver
∙ 1 oz fresh lime juice
∙ 1/2 oz hibiscus simple syrup*
∙ 1/2 oz fresh orange juice
∙ 1/2 oz  Cointreau

METHOD:
Combine everything in a shaking tin with ice.
Shake till chilled. 
Rim old fashioned glass with hibiscus salt and regular salt.
Strain into the glass with ice.

* Hibiscus Syrup:

1 cup of water
1/4 cup of honey, agave or sugar
2-3 tablespoons dried hibiscus flowers 
Ginger (to taste)
5 mint leaves

Bring water, sugar/honey or agave, hibiscus, ginger, and mint leaves to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer until sugars dissolve and flowers soften about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and steep syrup until flavors combine, about 5 minutes.
